When Steph’s new black handbag design came into the studio for photography I couldn’t work out exactly what the colour or what types of leather she had used. Let’s just say she’s used everything for now. It’s a movable feast for the eyes.
The sides of the bag are made from a graduated-dyed hair on hide skin, starting with a steely grey/blue colour at the top, then going into dark grey tones in the middle before turning into dark brown tones towards the base. An astonishing hide that changes colour with the ambient light, daylight or on the red carpet with a zillion flash guns going off. The base and top of the bag is made from black leather, very soft, and the handles, are lined with grey suede. Steph likes detail. How many other handbags handles are lined in a different leather?
There’s some other very nice little details on this bag, that adds to its overall elegant look – the zip pulls are made from a shiny pewter metallic leather, the zip ends are made from an iridescent brocade – and the lining is soft pink cotton with the zippered pockets are lined in a contrasting crushed strawberry print cotton.
The dimensions make this bag sound small but due to the design you can easily get a smartphone, a pair of sunglasses, keys, small purse and lipgloss inside.
